| |
To edit a track from your CD, first off you must extract / rip the track from the CD into DB Audio Mixer & Editor.
1. |
Select "Open" from the "File" menu. |
2. |
Under the "Look in" dropdown menu, select your CD Rom/CD writer drive. Select "CD Audio (*.cda)" under the "Files of type" dropdown menu. Click "Open" to start ripping the track.

| 3. |
Edit the sound track as you normally would and save it into your hard drive when you are done. |
If all you get for the file name is "Track01", "Track02", "Track03" and so on, you probably won't be able to select the track for ripping. To show their .cda extension, open Windows Explorer. Select "Folder Options..." from the "Tools" menu.
On the "View" tab, under the "Advance settings" tree view, look for "Hide extensions for known file types". Make sure it's unchecked to show the file extensions and click "Apply". |

Help, the undo / redo function is not working! |
| |
The first thing that you have to check is to make sure you've plenty of hard drive space. DB Audio Mixer & Editor creates temporary WAV files for each and every changes made to the sound file you are working on.
If you are working on with a three minutes long MP3 file. The software will a 30 MB of WAV file (approx). So if you perform ten operations which change the sound file ten times, the software will create 10 temporarily WAV files, about 30 MB each. When you undo / redo an action, the software sort through the temporary files and show you the one you are looking for.
If you have plenty of hard drive space but the undo / redo function is still not working, try deleting the temporary files. Select "Properties" from the "Tools" menu. On the "System" tab under the "Temporary folder location" is the location of the files to delete. Locate and delete them using Windows Explorer. |

The program says my license code (a.k.a. registration key) is invalid. Why? |
| |
First off, be sure to enter the name the software is registered to. Also use copy and paste to enter the code instead of typing it manually to avoid any mistake.
The second thing you should know is
we have two download sites, http://www.audio-mixer-editor.net and http://www.audio-mixer-editor.com . The code or key issued from one site is not compatible with the other. This could be the reason why the software is not accepting the information. So be sure you are downloading from the site where you originally purchase DB Audio Mixer & Editor from.
Finally if you still having problem, just contact us and include your license code / registration key in the email so that we can check it for you. |

I can't open WMA (Windows Media Audio) files with the software. |
| |
Microsoft has an option in Windows Media Player that can prevent songs from being copied. If the WMA files you are trying to load have this option turned on, you will not be able to add them to the mix. To turn this feature off in Windows Media Player, select "Options" from the "Tools" menu The select the "CD Audio" tab. Uncheck "Enable Personal Rights Management" and click "Apply".
If you have Windows Media Player 9, select the "Tools" menu, then select the "Copy Music" tab. Uncheck the "Copy protect music" option. If you have Windows Media Player 10, select "Options" from the "Tools" menu. On the "Rip Music" tab, under the "Rip settings", uncheck "Copy protect music" and click "Apply". |
